Description:

The early medieval manor house of the Cruwys family.  The late C17-18 front conceals the earlier building.  White (1850) noted that it had ‘lately been enlarged and modernized, and has a tasteful and well-wooded park, mostly planted in 1834-5.’Stockdale described it as ‘an ancient mansion pleasingly situated on a gentle eminence contiguous to the church’.
