Visit to Dunley House

Sarah and Francis Gilbert have kindly invited us to visit their nine acre garden set among mature oaks, sequoiadendrons and a huge liquidambar.  The garden was started from a wilderness in the mid eighties. Rhododendrons, camellias and over 40 different magnolias abound. The arboretum, walled garden with borders and fruit and vegetables, rose garden and new enclosed garden with lily pond are all intruiging. The large pond was renovated in 2016 with new plantings. There is a woodland walk around the perimeter of property.  There will be a cream tea at the end of the afternoon.
