Our Charitable Objectives
The charitable objectives of Devon Gardens Trust are, for the public benefit:
- To promote the protection, conservation, enhancement, research and understanding of the Designed Landscapes of Devon
- To promote the education of the public on the arts, crafts, sciences, and all other matters connected with the heritage of those landscapes.
Our Organisation
Devon Gardens Trust is a charitable company limited by guarantee constituted under Articles of Association and is a registered charity number 800540. The Trust is a membership organisation and is managed by the Board of Trustees who are also directors of the company. Trustees are elected by the membership at the Annual General Meeting for a three-year term of office and may be re-elected for a second term. Trustees elect the Chair and Vice-Chair who serve for two years; they meet at least quarterly.
