The Trust offers a range of bursaries to individuals who are ordinarily resident in Devon. These bursaries support:
- Course fees for individuals intending to pursue or already engaged in a career related to historic designed landscapes.
- Gardeners working in, or studying, historic designed landscapes with the costs associated with attending short courses, seminars, conferences, or workshops on relevant topics.
- Activities that promote public understanding and engagement with the history and significance of Devon’s garden and designed landscape heritage, such as research, surveys, and publications.
The Trust also offers grants to community groups, schools and garden owners. These grants support the development of gardens in community spaces as well as the conservation of historic gardens.

Bursaries
Up to £1,000 to support the professional development of gardeners and research to aid our understanding of gardens and landscapes within Devon. For students and eligible individuals.Community Grants
Grants up to £5,000 to promote outdoor learning and community spirit through the development of gardens in community spaces or schools.Conservation Grants
Up to £25,000 for the conservation of historic gardens - includes physical restoration work as well as conservation management plans and interpretation materials.
